DTC - Digital Tools Card and Plug-Ins

Updated: May 17, 2005

The DTC™ or "Digital Tools Card" is a dedicated DSP card that is placed in the Harrison digital.engine™. Each DTC™ comes equipped with 32 Bus Limiters with "Look Ahead" and "Anti Breathe" control. Multiple DTC's can be installed, forming a scalable, powerful signal processing matrix for use with the optional DTC™ software plug-ins. The DTC™ plug-ins are chainable and interchangeable in the signal path with fully resourced 40-bit, Wide Pipe™ floating point processing available for all DTC™ Bus Limiters and plug-ins "at all times".

DTC Plug-Ins
:
The Bus Limiters, AutoLooping Filter, Linear EQ, Multi-Band Compressor, Harmonic Notch Filter, De-Esser, Leveled EQ, Subharmonic Synthesizer, Telephone Filters, Crossover EQ, Multi-Band Expander, Insert and other specialized filters currently under development, form an on-demand matrix of hardware and software based tools, each using dedicated DSP for optimum power and flexibility.

Each plug-in has a rich GUI for visual feedback to the mixer, meeting the expected standard of an IKIS graphic interface.

The DTC™ package consists of a dedicated processing module, with a standard array of 32 Bus Limiters with "Look Ahead", "Anti Breathe" control and a suite of software plug-ins (sold separately) added to the digital.engine™ DSP core on an IKIS™ Automation system.

Currently up to eight plug-Ins can run simultaneously in a single processing module in any order in the signal chain. Multiple processing modules can be added to the DSP core to accommodate more DTC™ plug-ins as they become available.

The DTC™ and plug-ins are available as an option to the IKIS™ Automation and digital.engine™ package and can be ordered in conjunction with a Harrison IKIS™/digital.engine™ upgrade, or as an optional feature set of all IKIS™ based consoles, currently the MPC3-D™, SeriesTwelve™ and ST2™.
