MPC4-D — The Most Intuitive Post-Production Console!

Updated: May 17, 2005

Harrison’s MPC4-D™ is the latest addition to the already impressive line of Harrison audio consoles. The new MPC4-D™ features an all extruded aluminum frame with LCD display screens above all faders showing: channel name, stem assignments, EQ graph, dynamics graph, aux sends, input metering, panning display, and Harrison’s exclusive “in console” PreView™ screen with History (patent applied for).

Harrison’s PreView™ with History waveform display is a visual representation of the audio as it passes through each channel. Its waveform is generated and stored in synchronized memory for instant nonlinear viewing. NO DAW is required. This graphical waveform is positioned above its corresponding channel for quick viewing. Still can’t find that crackling in the background? By viewing the PreView™ Historical timeline of each channel, an operator can quickly and easily pinpoint the crackle waveform. Life just got a little easier! All processing is “in console”.

This console also features the newly released Digital Tools Card (DTC™). The DTC™ comes equipped with a full suite of film specific plug-ins to enhance the dubbing of a film. All this is made possible by the powerful IKIS™ platform now a standard installation in all of Harrison’s digital consoles.

Available Features in the MPC4-D Include:
40-bit Wide Pipe™ processing and 40-BIT INTERCONNECTS. Only Harrison has 40-bit interconnects. From the time a signal enters the digital.engine™ / router until it leaves via the router, the signal remains 40-bit throughout. There are no headroom issues created by systems using the 40-bit processing, but 32-bit interconnects between processors; OR worse, systems that require digital cores to be linked using MADI (24-bit fixed point) to create a large format film mixing console.
Up to 320 Channels per digital.engine™; Each Channel has A and B Inputs (Total 640 Inputs, Multi-Engine Configuration Available)
Small Surfaces Controlling Hundreds of Channels Using Any Combination of Layering and Profiling with Sweet Spot; or Multi-Operator
Large surfaces with Virtually Unlimited Number of Faders and Channel Strips Possible
Harrison "In-Console" PreView™ screen with History. No DAW required.
DTC™ Card with FILM SPECIFIC Plug-Ins
Satellite Machine Room TFT Control
MADI Router up to 2240 X 2240
