DIGITAL PROCESSING AND CONTROL SOLUTIONS
X-Range™ is Harrison’s exclusive digital processing and control solution for broadcast, live, and motion picture applications. The system combines six important components; together with the world’s best known audio console, to allow complete audio control without leaving the console.

With X-Range, expansion has no limits. X-Range supports simultaneous control of DAW, I/O, audio tools (plug-ins), router, multi-channel monitoring, and digital channel processing. The complete solution for your facility console. If you need to access your DAW, access and manipulate via the console surface using Xd (IKISdirect). If you need to route source audio, route the audio signal using the on-screen routing matrix via Harrison’s integrated IKIS Control Platform. Instant visual feedback via the built-in, wide-viewing angle displays! When you need to take away background noise from production audio, use one of the time (and money) saving, digital audio plug-ins. You can install one component or all six X-Range components (Xe, Xd, Xr, Xt, Xi/o, and Xmon) to complete your audio solution.

Xe:
CHANNEL PROCESSING ENGINE
This 2RU, PCI-based channel processing engine is capable of 64-bit, floating point audio processing. Each engine can be linked to form a massive array of digital processing to fit any mixers needs.

Xd: DIRECT DAW SERIAL CONTROL
Both Mac and PCI workstations can be mapped directly to a console’s channel strips for complete DAW control. Current protocols include OASIS for Pyramix and the HUI protocol for Pro Tools. Nuendo and other HUI-based DAW are scheduled for release later in the year.

Xr: LARGE SCALE AUDIO ROUTER
The comprehensive router matrix (up to 1024 x 1024) allows for quick and easy signal routing assignments with text and color-coding. The router system collects 24-bit, fixed-point audio data from the outside world and converts it to and from the 64-bit floating point format used by the engine. Audio signals are selected and routed using the on-screen interface; signal sources and destinations are determined by the router configuration and are highly user configurable.

Xt: SPECIALIZED AUDIO TOOLS
These “film specific” plug-ins can be accessed by every channel on the console’s surface. Multiple 2RU XT computers can be installed, forming a scalable, powerful signal manipulation matrix. The plug-ins are chainable and interchangeable in the signal path with fully resourced 64-bit, floating point processing "at all times".

Xi/o: INPUT / OUTPUT CONVERTERS
Harrison's digital converters are the ultimate solution for high performance signal conversion. Scalable for any size set up, and extraordinarily powerful, Harrison's digital and analog converters provide a high performance comprehensive conversion solution at the most cost-effective price available.

Xmon: DIGITAL MONITORING SYSTEMS
Monitor your mix in the most popular configurations: stereo, surround sound, 5.1, 6.1, 7.1 (up to 16-wide). Monitoring is also available for Film/Post specific configuration or a more general purpose configuration.
